Largest producer of abrasive tools in the world

Luga Abrasive Plant JSC is an enterprise established more than a century ago, it is the largest producer
of abrasive tools in the world. The plant was established in 1906 on the base of handicraft workshops
manufacturing crucibles, in 1926 production of abrasive tools was launched and in 1980 — production
of cutting and structural ceramics.
Today the plant is operating at three industrial sites in Luga, Leningrad region and also at three separate
industrial units in Pskov region. The number of employees is more than 1,700 people.
