Leningrad region has climbed one position and occupied the 9th place in the Ranking of social and economic situation in Russian regions according to the results of 2019.
The Ranking was prepared by the experts of RIA Rating Agency in accordance with data of the Ministry of Finance, the Federal Treasury and the Federal State Statistics Service.
The methodology is based on aggregation of various indices which characterize social and economic situation of the regions. In particular, it includes such indices as scale and efficiency of economy, budgetary and social spheres.
According to the results of 2019 Leningrad region achieved the following:
- industrial production index – 104.8%
- volume of production of goods and services per capita – 685,000 rubles per person
- turnover of trading organizations – 439 billion rubles
- employment level – 0.4%
- investments in fixed assets per capita – 223,400 rubles per person
Also, according to data of 2019, the average monthly salary in the region has grown by 5.8% and amounted to 45,700 rubles. Real income of the population of Leningrad region grew by 1% in 2019.
