Industrial Parks of the Leningrad region
An industrial (manufacturing) park is a set of industrial infrastructure facilities intended
for the creation of industrial production or the modernization of industrial production and managed by
a management company - a commercial or non-profit organization established in accordance with the
legislation of the Russian Federation.
Industrial (manufacturing) parks include agro-industrial parks and eco-industrial parks.
An agro-industrial park is an industrial (manufacturing) park whose industrial infrastructure facilities
are used for the creation of industrial production or the modernization of industrial production, including
production, primary and (or) subsequent industrial processing of agricultural products, raw materials and
food and their sale, as well as the provision of services for the maintenance of agricultural production and
processing of agricultural products.
An eco-industrial park is an industrial (manufacturing) park whose industrial infrastructure facilities
are used for the creation of industrial production or the modernization of industrial production, including
activities for waste disposal, and (or) treatment, and (or) neutralization of waste, and (or) involvement of
waste in economic circulation as secondary raw materials in the production of industrial products and the
performance of works.
The territorial planning scheme of the Leningrad region includes information about 14 industrial parks (9
operating, 5 being created) asregional development objects. Information about the industrial parks
"Levoberezhny", Nanotech Park "Gatchina", "Pikalevo", "Kola" is included in the federal register of the
Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. On the territory of all operating parks there is the possibility
of connecting to gas, electricity, heat supply, water supply and sewerage networks, and there is good
transport accessibility. The main specialization of the parks: mechanical engineering, metalworking,
foundry production, woodworking, production of plastic products, food and light industry, production of
medicines, production of building materials and equipment, placement of industrial warehouse and logistics
complexes.
Advantages of locating production facilities in industrial parks:
- access to transport infrastructure and availability of utility networks;
- saving time on project launch;

provision of services to residents of industrial parks (repair and maintenance of utility networks,
logistics, security, legal, consulting and other services, territory cleaning).
Currently, 135 resident organizations have located their production facilities in the territories of
operating industrial parks.
