A strategic meeting on the development of industrial tourism was held

05-03-2026

The meeting was organized by the Agency for Economic Development and moderated by Anastasia Mikhalchenko, Chair of the Leningrad Region Committee for External Relations and head of the 47th Region regional team in the fifth season of the "Open Industry" program.

Plans for the current year:

The launch of new "Cool Locations" in the Leningrad Region (in the Gatchina, Priozersk, and Lodeynoye Pole districts), as well as interregional routes jointly with the Pskov, Novgorod, and Vologda Regions.
Joining forces with the Leningrad Region Museum Agency and including industrial museums from the 47th Region in the #CoolLocation program.
Involving agricultural producers already participating in other tourism projects in the program.
Developing support measures to offset the costs of participating enterprises.

We see interest from foreign tourists in visiting Russian enterprises. Therefore, one of our priority tasks for the near future is the development of a tourism product that would also be of interest to guests from friendly countries. I advise participating companies to develop technology maps specifically with a focus on welcoming foreign tourists.

Anastasia Mikhalchenko noted.

Yulia Mikhalskaya, First Deputy Chair of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activities, summarized:

The tourism product a region offers must be diversified. Krutaya Lokatsiya not only expands this offering but also becomes part of a comprehensive investment strategy, increasing the region's attractiveness for both tourists and potential investors.
