The Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation included the town of Sosnovy Bor in the list of pilot municipal units where the federal project “Smart city” will be implemented.
A road map of implementation of this project in Sosnovoborsky urban district implies solution of the range of tasks aimed at attraction of the citizens to development of urban economy, creation of “smart” and comfortable urban environment and introduction of security systems in the near five years.
In particular, a special digital platform and mobile application will be created to allow the residents of the district to participate in city administration. Using them the citizens will be able to send their appeals concerning improvement of urban infrastructure, unsatisfactory services and other problems.
By 2021 it is planned to provide apartment buildings with the automated systems of utility consumption accounting which will automatically transfer data to the united dispatching service of the town.
Energy efficient technologies for street lightning, automated CCTV for registration of traffic violations, public transport tracking system will be installed in the town. “Smart bus stops” are being established in Sosnovy Bor – this is a unified passenger information system with special panels.
The federal project “Smart city” is also being implemented in Gatchina, the Ministry of Construction decided to include it in the pilot towns in the beginning of April. Digitalization of urban economy of Gatchina includes significant changes in the housing sector, transport, tourism and managerial decisions in the near five years.
