Deputy Chairman of the Government of Leningrad Region – Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activity Dmitry Yalov and representatives of the investment team of the region participated in a session of the members of St. Petersburg International Business Association (SPIBA).
Dmitry Yalov in his welcoming speech told about priorities of economic development of Leningrad region and measures of support for investors.
“We’ve significantly improved our positions in the National Regional Investment Climate Ranking, and these indicators are the most interesting for business. Today registration of property rights in electronic form takes 3 days. This is a titanic shift.
But the focus is shifting to new agenda. That’s why we start creating informational infrastructure and establish a geo base for investment and construction sphere. When this work is completed we will be able to issue urban plans of land plots in short time and in automatic mode,” noted the head of the economic sector of Leningrad region.
First Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activity Anton Finogenov told businessmen about investment climate of the region, active development of port areas in Ust-Luga, Primorsk and Vysotsk. Among the main industries which already show high growth and development potential, he noted production of construction and decoration materials, chemical industry, deep timber processing, manufacture of food products, shipbuilding and automotive cluster.
Another industry which has potential for the region is commercial real estate. The budget for the next year includes reimbursement of up to 50% of expenses of investors implementing projects in the sphere of business real estate for connection to engineering utilities. These projects are especially important for the districts with intensive housing.
