How do we expand the network of business partners in the interests of the companies in Leningrad region? Here is an example.
In the beginning of the year the Russian-Swedish Business Forum was organized, Director of Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region Anastasia Mikhalchenko participated in the event. After the meeting and presentation of the projects we managed to agree on further cooperation.
Two meetings with the participation of both Swedish and regional companies have already been held.
After the Forum the Agency organized a meeting of the companies of Leningrad region that implement environmental projects, with the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (NEFCO) for attraction of additional financing.
And recently business cooperation and promising industries for Russian-Swedish projects were discussed during the meeting of the Director of the Agency Anastasia Mikhalchenko with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Russia and the CIS.
Sweden is an important trade and economic partner of Leningrad region. Several large Swedish companies have been implementing their projects in the region. For example, the Agency provides support to a large project of Orient Products company in Vsevolozhsky district, the largest manufacturer of crispy bread. Since 2017 the company is a part of Lantmännen – a Swedish agricultural cooperative.
We are glad that connections with the Swedish business associations are expanding, because it means new investment projects of Swedish companies and new jobs. And we hope that our new interaction will come soon. We plan to continue cooperation with the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Russia and the CIS during the Baltic Region Investment Forum 2021.
