The leading exporters of the food industry of Leningrad region participate in the 85th international exhibition fair Green Week 2020 in Berlin.
The region is represented by Roscar poultry farm, Galactika dairy farm, a manufacturer of tea and coffee Orimi. These enterprises deliver their products to almost 40 countries, including Germany, Israel, China, Turkey. The products of the regional companies are presented at the united Russian exhibition stand with total area of more than 5,000 square meters, organized by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and Russian Export Centre.
Dairy products, food and processing industry products as well as egg and egg products have significant potential for strengthening export positions of Leningrad region in agro-industrial sector. In 2019 Galactika got accreditation for export of its dairy products to China. Roscar explores new markets – Saudi Arabia, Iran, Japan is a potential direction. After reaching the project capacity by Vysotsk Grain Terminal the region will be delivering up to 2 million tonnes of grain annually to the international market, becoming one of the leading grain exporters in Russia.
In 2019 export of agricultural products of Leningrad region amounted to 294.1 million USD, which is 25% more than the planned indicator. Regional agricultural products are delivered to 57 countries, among the largest partners are: Belarus, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Switzerland, Lithuania, USA, Brazil, Columbia, the Philippines, UAE, Iran, Israel, Vietnam, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Benin, Qatar.
