Attraction and training of production workers, export support, elimination of barriers for business at all levels – the key topics at the business breakfast with the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.
The Baltic Region Investment Forum BRIEF’21 started with the dialogue between the business and the Governor – about twenty heads of companies and representatives of the business community asked their questions to the Governor.
“Leningrad region is at the high positions in terms of investments, implementation of national projects, but today it is important not only to create good conditions for business but also to provide guarantees of comfortable localization and work. Today we are facing the problem of attraction of personnel – the implementation of the announced large projects in Leningrad region has resulted in the need for highly qualified employees, but we also need those who tighten nuts,” said Alexander Drozdenko during the meeting.
The attraction of labour resources was one of the topics announced by many representatives of the business community and heads of enterprises that already face issues concerning personnel training and execution of permits for the entry of foreign specialists in the conditions of pandemics.
Other discussed issues included cooperation with the regional manufacturers, the procedure of receiving construction permits, placement of a backup or additional source of liquid medical oxygen in Leningrad region.
The representatives of foreign business noted that they highly appreciate the interaction with the team of Leningrad region, substantive conversation with the authorities and solutions of various issues.
