“Creation of a new production plant is the result of the concerted efforts of the Government of Leningrad region, Agricultural holding Vyborgec and the main investor – Soyuz JSC,” noted the Governor of Leningrad region. “The company received 10% of the total amount of capital investments from the budget of Leningrad region, we also provided a land plot in Luzhsky district for wheat growing and compost production. And we made all this because we see benefits of the project both for economy and environment of Leningrad region. Land that used to be vacant is now engaged in agricultural processes, bird droppings harmful for environment are utilized and used for mushroom compost, new jobs are being established in Vsevolozhsky and Luzhsky districts. We invested budget money and we will receive even more by means of taxes”.
According to the results of 2019, mushroom production in Leningrad region will increase by 53%: up to 2,300 tonnes. Along with Vyborgec, champignons are cultivated by Prinevskoe Stud Farm and Yuzhny Grib.
