Leningrad region is in top 3 leading Russian regions in terms of social and economic situation.
The ranking sums up the results of 2020, it was prepared by the Civil Society Development Foundation. Leningrad region occupied third place, the first two belong to Tyumen region and Moscow.
“Leningrad region has always been in top 10, but for the first time we occupied the third place, bypassing the “resource” regions. Only Moscow and Tyumen go ahead. For us this is not just a high rate, but the proof that we’ve made the right decisions in social and economic spheres in the pandemic year,” commented the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.
The assessment of the regions is carried out taking into consideration several indicators: the sum of the regional product, the average monthly salary, the state debt of the region, industrial production index, etc.
The experts note that Leningrad region has become one of the leaders due to the stability of all indicators.
