At the meeting of the Council for improving the investment environment in the Leningrad Region, two new projects were introduced:
The Korean auto parts manufacturer “Sungwoo Hitech RUS” will open the production of components for Hyundai and Kia cars at the site of the former “Ford” plant in Vsevolozhsk. ⠀
The investment project involves the production of components for Hyundai and Kia cars. The volume of investments will amount to 6.8 billion rubles. The start of production is scheduled for 2023.
A new industrial park in the light industrial format will appear on Volkhonskoe highway. The project was initiated by “Logopark Volkhonka” LLC. ⠀In the industrial park it will be possible to rent ready-made production premises from 1000 sq. meters to start production immediately, without the time-consuming construction.
The total area of the development area is 168 610 sq. meters, Where the investor plans to create 80 000 sq. meters of modern production facilities. The declared volume of investments will amount to more than 3 billion rubles. The first stage of the park is planned to be launched in November 2022, the project will be fully implemented within three years.Another important topic on the agenda is carbon footprint reduction and green projects. Igor Bryzgunov, Chairman of the Russian Wind Industry Association, spoke about the wind farm project and the prospects for wind energy. There were also presented projects for the creation of carbon polygons on the territory of the Leningrad region: an initiative project "Ladoga" and a polygon on the basis of the Lisinsky training and experimental forestry enterprise.
