The ceremonial launch of a new enterprise of EuroChem will take place on 7 June within the framework of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
This date was appointed during a working meeting of the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko with CEO of Phosphorit Vladimir Erlykov and CEO of EuroChem Igor Nechaev.
Commissioning of the new enterprise will complete implementation of a large investment project amounting to about 1 billion USD. The new ammonia production plant with the largest in Russia unit power of 1 million tonnes per year complies with the best available technologies. The investment project will allow significantly increasing the volume of export and creating new jobs in the region.
“It is important that the enterprise corresponds with the strictest environmental standards and it was implemented at the old industrial site of Phosphorit,” noted the first Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activity of Leningrad Region Anton Finogenov.
