Delegation of economic sector visited Gestamp Severstal Vsevolozhsk factory
This year Leningrad region joined implementation of the national project on improvement of labour productivity. And interesting cases are in the focus of attention.
The delegation of the economic sector of the Government of Leningrad region headed by Dmitry Yalov visited Gestamp Severstal Vsevolozhsk factory which actively works on labour productivity within the frameworks of the national project.
The company manufactures automotive components, it is among Russian enterprises where experts from Toyota create model production lines. The aim of work within an agreement between the Federal Competence Centre in the Sphere of Labour Productivity and Toyota Motor Corporation is to prove applicability of principles of Toyota in practice.
First innovations at Gestamp factory already give results. For example, nuts of the required size are delivered to a worker with the help of a magnet. Thus, time is not wasted on manual selection of necessary size. There is still a lot of work ahead, benefits can be evaluated in six months. The production process of the enterprise will correspond to the requirements of Toyota and the company will have an opportunity to receive additional orders for delivery of products.
Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activity of Leningrad Region and Gestamp Severstal Vsevolozhsk concluded an agreement on interaction within implementation of the national project “Labour productivity and employment support”.
