The Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko held a working meeting with the delegation headed by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Nikolay Snopkov. The delegation is exploring potential of the regional ports for possible diversification of Belarusian traffic flows.
Presentation of the port projects located in Leningrad region took place on 23 October in the House of the regional Government.
The Belarusian partners were interested in specific features of project solutions, types of warehouses and conditions of work of special economic zones and territories of advanced development.
“Leningrad region is a strategic partner for Belarus. The main aim for the nearest two years is to enter top-5 largest trading partners for the Republic of Belarus among Russian regions,” commented the Governor of the region Alexander Drozdenko.
The parties discussed plans for further development of cooperation and decided to hold the next meeting in the beginning of 2021.
Implementation of investment projects of the port complexes in the region receives support of Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region.
