The participants of a round table organized by Delovoy Peterburg newspaper discussed role of manufacturers of goods and services in improvement of the quality of life.
Head of Department of Investment Infrastructure Development, Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region Vera Shtokaylo told about support provided to manufacturers and investment projects in Leningrad region. She noted that the economic team of the regional Government is always ready for the open dialogue with business and to discuss measures of support which will allow enterprises to introduce innovations, because the region is interested in creation of factories manufacturing innovative products with high value added.
According to the Director General of Lyubimy Kray Irina Snegova, participation in improvement of the quality of life of consumers involves comprehensive approach for a manufacturer. Both popularization of healthy lifestyle and possibility to show consumers value of products are important. Another important task is to improve the quality of produced goods and resources. There are various tours at production premises and informational programmes available for consumers.
The participants of the discussion noted necessity to improve awareness as a separate task. For example, a research manager of the affiliates of Philip Morris International in Russia Dmitry Ululov noted that in order to reduce risks of smoking consumers should know about the possibility to use alternative low-risk products.
