“Our advantage is technologization,” noted Deputy Chairman of the Government of Leningrad Region – Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activity Dmitry Yalov during a meeting of the investment team with representatives of federal mass media.
The press tour was dedicated to participation of Leningrad region in the National Regional Ranking of Investment Climate in the Subjects of the Russian Federation and its plans for 2020. In 2019 Leningrad region improved its place in the Ranking, moved forward by three positions and entered top-10 Russian regions with the most attractive investment climate.
Much attention in the Ranking is paid to the period of provision of public services. But it is impossible to reduce these periods infinitely. It is important to technologize processes. We have already done a lot in this direction and active work still continues.
Digitalization of the processes of public administration allows simplifying interaction with investors and solution of issues concerning implementation of investment projects in the region.
For example, information about investment sites of Leningrad region, transport and engineering infrastructure is available in the unique mapping system “Investment Development of Leningrad Region”.
Dmitry Yalov noted that Leningrad region is a region with diversified industrial economy, efficient and clear system of work with investors. Investment projects receive support of the “one-stop-shop” – Front Office for Investor Relations of the Administration of Leningrad Region. Besides, small and medium-sized business receive significant support in My Business multifunctional centres located in every district, in Entrepreneurship Support Fund of Leningrad Region.
Journalists visited Multifunctional Centre for Business in Tosnensky district, hi-tech industrial sites of Superwave Group and Thermex, M10 Industrial Park.
