Vsevolozhsky Municipal District occupies a territory covering most of the southern zone of the Karelian Isthmus, stretching for a maximum distance of 82 km from south to north and 56 km from east to west. The eastern border is the coast of Lake Ladoga. To the north it borders Priozersky District, to the northwest – Vyborgsky District. To the south, for 44 km, it borders the Neva River, and to the east – the city limits of Saint Petersburg. On the territory of Vsevolozhsky Municipal District of Leningrad Oblast there are 19 municipalities, including 12 urban settlements and 7 rural settlements. The centre of the municipal district – the city of Vsevolozhsk – received its city status in 1963.

Infrastructure: Regional public roads run through the territory of Vsevolozhsky Municipal District, with a total length of over 695 km. These roads are under the authority of the Road Committee of Leningrad Oblast, with operational management carried out by the State Budgetary Institution of Leningrad Oblast «Lenavtodor». The main transport arteries within the municipal district are the following regional roads:

The total length of federal public roads is over 215 km. These roads are under the authority of the Federal State Institution «Directorate of Federal Roads «North-West» (FSI Uprdor «North-West»). These are the following federal roads:

- «Ring Road around Saint Petersburg» («A-118 KAD»);
- «Saint Petersburg – Sortavala – R-21 «Kola» highway A-129 («Sortavala»);
- «Scandinavia» A-181 «Saint Petersburg – Vyborg – border with the Republic of Finland», «Magistralnaya».
Local public roads within the boundaries of populated areas mainly consist of the street and road network of intra‑city (intra‑settlement) roads, maintained by the urban and rural settlement municipalities. The total length of roads in urban and rural settlements of Vsevolozhsky Municipal District is 1,144.8 km.

Economy: The total volume of shipped goods, work and services of own production (according to official statistical data) for enterprises and organisations of Vsevolozhsky District not classified as small businesses (including medium‑sized ones) for 2025 increased by 10.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2024 and amounted to 403.7 billion rubles (13.5% of the total volume of shipped goods, work and services in Leningrad Oblast).
