Support provided by the Front Office for Investor Relations of Leningrad Region contributes to implementation of an investment project of Wholesale Distribution Centre LLC – a large centre for storage and processing of fruit and vegetable crops in Gatchinsky district of Leningrad region.
Experts from the Front Office provided assistance in preparation of documents for consideration of the project by Interdepartmental Commission for Placement of Productive Forces in Leningrad Region.
Currently the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko signed an order according to which the investment project on construction of a wholesale distribution centre for agricultural products was declared a large-scale project and has the right to rent a land plot without the bidding process. The new project is planned to be located at a 29.4 ha land plot in Gatchinsky district.
The project includes construction of four vegetable storehouses with capacity of up to 10,000 tonnes and an enterprise for vegetables and fruits processing (capacity – 7,600 tonnes per year) with production of gelling agents including pectin (capacity – up to 1,000 tonnes per year). The planned capacity is expected to be reached in 2024.
The expected volume of investments in the project will amount to about 4 billion rubles. About 120 jobs will be created in the warehouse and the production complex. Further implementation of the project is also planned to be supported by the Front Office for Investor Relations of Leningrad Region.
