Heating Equipment We chose Leningrad region for construction of our new factory due to two reasons. First of all, it is geographical location. We have all opportunities to use the way to Europe paved by Peter the Great many years ago. And today we export our products to many countries in the world through it. Second, Leningrad region has favourable business climate. The Government of Leningrad region provided huge support. Helping us with a land plot, tax benefits, vast amount of approvals, and connection to the engineering network… As a result, we were able to launch a highly technological factory from scratch in just 14 months, which remains a record in our sector. Ust-Luga Company

The Ust-Luga team implemented a unique project: for the first time in Russia, a private developer built a port - the largest on the Baltic Sea and one of the top three largest in Europe - from scratch in such a short time. The port, which allowed our country to build an independent foreign economic policy concerning freight logistics, through providing an alternative to the ports of other Baltic countries. Undoubtedly, without the understanding and support of Leningrad region, carrying out such a large-scale infrastructural project would have been impossible. Because of the creation of the Ust-Luga port, Leningrad region increased its socio-economic standing. CEO of Ust-Luga Company   Victoria Fedorova  Ust-Luga Company is a developer of ports and close-lying territories and the contractor-developer of Ust-Luga commercial seaport. The construction of the new Russian port was carried out under the special federal programme “Development of the Russian transport system” and the cooperation scheme used in construction became one of the first great examples of public-private partnership in Russia.   Currently, the construction of the largest modern multifunctional port in the Baltic Sea is complete. The main reason for construction of a new complex is that, on the historically existing site with the waterway depth of 4 m on the Neva River one can build ships with a length of up to 50 m, and the waterway depth of 6 m at the site of a new shipyard allows building marine vessels with a length of 50-100 m. The Government of Leningrad Region signed an agreement on regional support of this project, as its realization will attract investments amounting to 6 billion rubles and create at least 1,200 new highly technological workplaces, an increase in industrial output from 4.7 billion rubles in 2016 to 17 billion rubles in 2019. CEO of Pella Gerbert Tsaturov  Pella produces technical vessels - marine tugboats, rescue vessels, service and auxiliary boats, supply and servicing vessels for servicing boats in both ports and waters. In total, around 120 tugboats were supplied to all regions of Russia and exported elsewhere. In 2016 a new shipyard was opened, which allowed for the construction of at least eight 50-100 m long fishing boats and marine vessels per year. Tander Leningrad region, alongside with St. Petersburg is the second largest consumer market in Russia, one of the largest markets in Europe and one of the leaders in the rate of economic development in Northwestern federal district. Leningrad region has a logistically advantageous position, which is especially important to the work of a distribution centre. The new distribution centre allows the company to receive and process goods from both Russian and foreign suppliers, including goods in the “fresh” category, without reducing their quality which can happen over long haul transportations and storage. The high quality of storage, effective processing of goods, order purchasing and a well-organized system for the shipment of goods, using the company’s own freight transport allows us to supply over 716 trading facilities, not only in St. Petersburg and Leningrad region, but also in the Republic of Karelia and the Vologda region. I hope for long-lasting cooperation! Deputy Director on Investment Politics of Tander JSC Evgeniy Ovchinnikov Tander represents the largest Russian trading network, Magnit. One of the company’s leading directions of activity is development of their transport and logistics systems. The aim of such development is the reduction of costs for shipment and storage, and as a result - a decrease in prices of goods for the consumer. Currently, the company’s logistics network is comprised of 37 distribution centres and 36 freight transport enterprises. The project implemented in Leningrad region was aimed to build a regional distribution centre at Yam-Izhora, Tosnensky district. The distribution centre is a complex of buildings, facilities and engineering networks which are united by a common area and meant for the organization of reception and storage of agricultural goods, groceries and non-food items, forming shipments of the goods and their loadings, transport processing of goods and their storage, as well as other transport support, such as maintenance of freight vehicles and processing of the waste products formed during transportation and storage. The distribution centre is made for receiving, storing the goods for 5-7 days, forming orders and shipping goods to shops and storage sites. The aim of the project is not only to increase the presence of Magnit trading company and optimise the company’s costs, but also to greatly expand the variety of goods offered in the shops, and to optimise their work through reducing costs on shipments from local producers and suppliers.
