Ahlers opened a headquarters in Leningrad region

A Belgian logistics company Ahlers opened a headquarters in Leningrad region and announced new investments in development of its warehouse complex.

The volume of investments in construction of the new regional headquarters amounted to 3.5 million euro.

The headquarters located in Gorelovo industrial area will become the centre for work with clients not only in Russia, but also in the CIS countries.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of Leningrad Region – Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activity of Leningrad Region Dmitry Yalov and Director of Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region Anastasia Mikhalchenko participated in the official opening ceremony.

“Leningrad region is the second largest transport and logistics hub in Russia located at the intersection of international transport corridors. That is why availability of actively developing companies which provide a wide range of traditional and innovative logistics solutions is very important for our region,” said Dmitry Yalov.

Today Ahlers owns warehouse facilities with total area of 45,000 sq. m in Gorelovo industrial area. The company plans to continue developing on this territory and construct additional 21,000 sq. m of warehouse facilities. The volume of investments in the project will exceed 13 million euro. The ceremony of signing an agreement on social and economic development between the Government of Leningrad Region and Ahlers within implementation of this project also took place at the venue of the new headquarters.
