At the meeting of the council on improving the investment climate in the Leningrad Region, issues related to attracting and retaining personnel in the region were discussed

The discussion was initiated by Governor Alexander Drozdenko, who highlighted workforce issues as a priority for the economy.

The meeting was continued by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Leningrad Region, Dmitry Yalov. He delivered a report on the strategy for the socio-economic development of the region until 2030.

What needs to be done in the future:

- Reduce the natural population decline in the Leningrad Region
- Technologically complicate the regional economy
- Establish sustainable rates of agricultural production in terms of food security
- Develop the transport complex comprehensively
- Attract investments in the tourism industry
- Improve the quality of the urban environment
