Successful regional practices for attraction of investments were discussed during a session of the Expert Group of Regions. Integrated regional information system “Investment development of Leningrad region” was announced one of the best practices.
The system is an interactive map which helps investors to select an investment site, evaluate advantages and opportunities of the territory.
According to the head of the economic team of the Government of Leningrad region Dmitry Yalov, initially the priority belonged to technologies. IRIS was launched 6 years ago and now any land plot for placement of a production plant can be selected online.
“Today we have a task – to remove problems connected with issuance of urban development plans to business. Recently we’ve established Spatial Data Fund and now we are starting to implement a project on creation of a geophysical basis in order to put all other geoinformational systems on it. Over the next two years we will completely digitize the whole region and will be able to issue urban development plans of land plots in automatic mode,” shared experience Dmitry Yalov.
The session of the Expert Group “Attraction of investments in the regions: the best regional practices” was held with organizational support of Roscongress Foundation.
