BRIEF’21: creating the economy of the future

The Baltic region Investment Forum BRIEF’21 took part on 22 September. The main results of the forum:

700 online and offline participants.

The main topic of the forum was the production of the future. “At the forum, we were talking about future, decarbonization and how we will be working in the conditions of the new requirements to the economy and green energy,” commented the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.

4 investment agreements on the implementation of localization, modernization and expansion projects totally amounting to 3.5 billion rubles were signed.

2 cooperation agreements were signed: with the Center for Strategic Research on the inclusion of Leningrad region in the Association of Russian Regions for Climate; a cooperation agreement between All-Russian public organization Business Russia and Sberbank.

For the first time, the business programme of BRIEF included a business breakfast of the Governor of Leningrad region with foreign business associations: the German-Russian Chamber of Commerce, the Association of European Businesses, the American Chamber of Commerce in Saint Petersburg, Swiss-Russian Chamber of Commerce.

Business networking with six clusters: wood processing industry cluster of Leningrad region; chemical industry cluster of Leningrad region; metalworking and construction materials cluster of Leningrad region; renewable energy sources cluster; Regional consortium for the development of intercluster and intersectoral cooperation; cleantech cluster for the urban environment.

The Baltic Region Investment Forum BRIEF’21 was organized by Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region, Industry Development Centre of Leningrad Region and German-Russian Chamber of Commerce. The key partners of the forum are Leningrad region branch of Business Russia and HSE University.
