A session of the Council on Development of Export and Import Substitution of Leningrad Region was carried out.
Representatives of business and authorities discussed current issues concerning foreign economic activity, interesting cases and suggestions. The online event gathered about 60 participants.
Deputy Chairman of the Government of Leningrad Region Dmitry Yalov noted that close interaction of the parties and joint discussions help developing export component of the regional economy and introducing convenient work tools.
Deputy Head of Department of Trading Restrictions and Export Control of Northwestern Customs Administration Olga Pelle and Head of Department of Implementation of Advanced Customs Technologies of Customs Control Organization Stanislav Shklenskiy told about priority development directions of customs regulation and customs control and about innovations for the participants of foreign economic activity.
Manager of JACOBS DOUWE EGBERT RUS Olga Burlakova thanked the Government of Leningrad Region for support provided to the company. She told about practical aspects of receiving a subsidy for reimbursement of transportation expenses using the example of the company.
One of the suggestions from business announced during the session – organization of the cluster of warehouse loading area for exporters. Chairman of Leningrad Regional Office of Business Russia Mikhail Kosarev noted that introduction of the new mechanism will allow reducing expenses, period of cargo execution and inspection of export cargo by customs.
