Automotive cluster of Northwestern district is expanding. A South Korean manufacturer of automotive components – DRB is planning to localize its production in Leningrad region.
Manufacturers of automotive components enter Northwestern federal district following automotive manufacturers. DRB Rus will be producing seals for glass, hoods, interior, trunk and doors. Products are planned to be delivered to Hyundai factory in Saint Petersburg.
The announced capacity of the factory is about 250,000 car assembly sets per year. The company plans to invest about 700 million rubles in the new production plant.
Production is expected to be launched in Sverdlovskoe urban settlement, Vsevolozhsky district in 2020. Launch of the second phase of production with comparable characteristics is also being considered.
The investment project of DRB Rus receives support of the Front Office for Investor Relations of Leningrad Region.
