Chemical industry cluster, which united regional enterprises in the sphere of manufacture of chemical substances and products, rubber and plastic goods, was established in Leningrad region.
Chemical industry cluster was created on the initiative of enterprises and with support of Industry Development Centre of Leningrad Region. It includes five enterprises: Poliphas-Export, Ruscompolymer, Technopark Marienburg, Research and Production Company Palitra, Glass System.
The main aim of the created cluster is growth of competitiveness of the enterprises due to development of cooperation, expansion of sales markets, modernization of production capacities, reduction of expenses and attraction of investments. Development programme of the cluster will be prepared in the near future.
Director General of Industry Development Centre of Leningrad Region Olga Volkova noted that the established cluster will give a new impetus to development of chemical industry of the region.
Enterprises participating in the cluster will be able to find new partners and participate in joint investment projects, industry exhibitions, forums, current cluster projects and more efficiently interact with educational institutions and scientific centres in terms of implementation of joint projects, personnel training, access to new technologies.
