Director of Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region Andrey Sergeev presented investment potential of Leningrad region in Vienna during a session of a Working group on cooperation of the subjects of the Russian Federation with Austria.
Among the most promising areas of cooperation between Leningrad region and Austrian companies is creation of production plants manufacturing equipment for food industry, manufacture of food products, creation of new auto components production plants and wood processing plants, creation of production plants of components for oil, gas and chemical industry.
Austrian companies invested about six billion euro in Russia. These investments were mostly directed to the European part of Russia.
Fourteen regions of the Russian Federation were presented in Austria during the Days of Russian Regions. The delegation of Leningrad region was invited to participate in the event by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation.
