1,200 participants, 20 discussions and master classes, big talk about business trends of 2020 with participation of the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko – that is Leningrad business forum “Energy of Opportunities”.
The forum accumulated many experts, a lot of new knowledge, useful business contacts and motivation for entrepreneurs of Leningrad region. There are many programmes for support of small and medium-sized business and the results speak for themselves:
894 million rubles were allocated for support of entrepreneurship in 2019 which is 40% more than in 2018. This volume is planned to be kept.
The number of subjects of small and medium-sized business in Leningrad region is growing – there are more than 62,000 of them.
Turnover of small and medium-sized business is growing – 603 billion rubles in the end of the last year. And the share of small business in the total turnover of all organizations in the region is 24% already.
Entrepreneurship Support Fund of Leningrad Region provides support for small and medium-sized business under “one-stop-shop” principle.
The companies of Leningrad region are actively entering foreign markets. Interesting cases of the regional companies show that export is a real opportunity, including for small business, to expand sales markets. For example, during the forum Koporsky Ivan-Tea signed an agreement on placement at the European online marketplace EuroPages.
The detailed discussion of the advantages of international online marketplaces was organized by Export Support Centre of Leningrad Region. The opportunities of such platforms as Alibaba, Ebay, DTAD and Wildberries were presented to the participants of the discussion.
