First customs and logistics forum in North-West

The first customs and logistics forum in Northwestern federal district took place. For Leningrad region logistics is one of the key advantages and a significant growth driver. Its port infrastructure is rapidly developing, M11 highway was opened. This generates both large investment projects and new challenges for the region.

Director of the Front Office for Investor Relations of Leningrad Region Andrey Sergeev participated in the forum and told about development of transport and logistics infrastructure, development of the project of special economic zone in the port of Primorsk. An application is planned to be submitted to the Ministry of Economic Development in 2020.

Among the largest investment projects in transport and logistics sphere Andrey Sergeev noted Primorsky Multipurpose Reloading Complex, complex for transshipment of grain and food cargo Novotrans, Ultramar complex, creation of Vysotsky Grain Terminal. The projects receive support of the Front Office.

The current issues of foreign economic activity and customs regulation were also discussed during the event.  The forum was organized by German-Russian Chamber of Commerce together with Finnish-Russian Chamber of Commerce and brought together 250 participants, including guests from Germany.
