French business is interested in Leningrad region

The delegation of the French-Russian Chamber of Commerce during its business mission to Leningrad region and Saint Petersburg held a meeting in Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region. The companies presented their capabilities and suggestions.

The head of the economic team Dmitry Yalov noted that Leningrad region and France have stable partnership relations. Over the last four years cargo turnover with France has grown more than two times and in 2019 it amounted to 386.5 million USD. The following large French enterprises are successfully developing in Leningrad region:  Schneider Electric, Faurecia, Tefal, Decathlon, etc.

“We are ready for further cooperation in both localization of new enterprises in the region and search for solutions in various branches,” said Dmitry Yalov.

Director of Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region Anastasia Mikhalchenko presented investment potential of Leningrad region and told about the largest investment projects and the most promising industries.

Acting Consul General of France in Saint Petersburg Pascal Slivansky noted that the business mission emphasizes interest of France in cooperation with Leningrad region.

The dialogue between the companies and the representatives of the region set out opportunities for further interaction and development of cooperation. For example, Lenoblvodokanal (Water Service Company of Leningrad Region) is interested in products of energy service company Dalkia, and Hevel company is interested in work with housing construction.

All participants of the meeting had an opportunity to discuss potential collaboration and exchanged their business cards during a networking session. The delegation continued its visit in Greenstate industrial park where the participants were presented opportunities of industrial real estate of the region.
