German business continues actively developing in Leningrad region. KNAUF PETROBOARD opened its reconstructed complex for production of liner board from waste paper.
It is important that billions of investments were directed not only at installation of a new forming part of cardboard equipment, but also at reconstruction of wastewater treatment facilities. The volume of investments in the project amounted to 3.5 billion rubles.
160 trucks delivered equipment from Germany. The capacity of the cardboard equipment (860 million m2) is enough to cover the whole, for example, Volgograd (total area of 860 km2) with liner board.
“Our cooperation is a good example for German, European and world business which proves – come and invest in Leningrad region and your production plants will be profitable and reliable”, noted the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko during the opening ceremony.
The production plant was launched with participation of a co-owner of the company Nikolaus Knauf. And this is not a coincidence, because the main German investors in the Russian economy are family middle-sized enterprises.
