Growth of export in the region

The volume of non-resource non-energy export of Leningrad region has increased by 15% in comparison with 2017 and came to more than 2.6 billion USD.

The UAE, Estonia, India, Greece, Serbia, Peru, Guinea are among the markets which provided the largest growth in terms of the volume of export in comparison with 2017.

The branch structure of non-resource non-energy export of Leningrad region did not changed significantly in 2018: agro-industrial complex provides 8.1% of non-resource non-energy export of the region, chemical industry – 49.3%, timber industry complex – 21.9%, textile and textile goods – 1.7%, metals and goods made of them – 7%, mechanical engineering and instrument engineering – 7.2%, other goods – 4.8%.

The largest exporters of goods in 2018 include: Philip Morris Izhora, Nokian Tyres, Orimi, International Paper, JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS RUS, Caterpillar Tosno, Tikhvin Ferroalloy Plant, etc.
