Key directions in development of the system of professional orientation were announced by Deputy Chairman of the Government of Leningrad Region – Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activity of Leningrad Region Dmitry Yalov during a session “Creation of regional ecosystems for creation of national technological leaders” at SPIEF-2019.
“In order to provide high quality professional orientation services to students we have developed an electronic testing platform, introduced mobile buses for professional orientation in remote settlements, organize Day of Professional Orientation in all districts where we provide real information which allows choosing a profession in accordance with the requirements of the region,” said Dmitry Yalov.
He also noted that it is necessary to make professional education system closer to industrial policy. “We are creating Centre of Advanced Training of Personnel on the base of one of our colleges in Tosnensky district. This Centre will provide its services not only for students, but also for teachers. Leading enterprises of the region will be providing assistance to us in education under required competencies ,” said Dmitry Yalov.
