In the first half of the year, Russia's economy grew by 4.6%

This was stated by Vladimir Putin during a meeting with members of the Government.

"The gross domestic product increased by 4.6%, and industrial production volume grew by 4.4%," noted the President of Russia.

According to the Ministry of Economic Development's forecast, the Russian economy may grow by 2.3% in 2024 in the baseline scenario and by 1.4% in the conservative scenario. The International Monetary Fund has forecasted growth of up to 2.6%, while the World Bank predicts up to 2.9%.

The highest GDP growth in 10 years was recorded in Russia in 2021, at 5.87%, according to data from Rosstat.
