According to Petrostat (Federal Statistics Service of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region), the volume of investments in fixed assets in Leningrad region has grown by 5.2% in 2020. In monetary terms it is 458.1 billion rubles or 105.2% in comparison with 2019 in comparable prices.
Among the investors are both already operating enterprises which expand their capacities, and new projects. In 2020 more than 1 billion rubles was invested by such companies as Novotrans, EuroChem North-West, Ultramar, Apatit (PhosAgro), RusKhimAlyans and Baltic Chemical Complex, Leningrad Nuclear Power Plant, JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS RUS, Roscar Poultry Farm, Roca Rus, Novatek–Ust-Luga, subdivisions of Gazprom and RZD, etc.
“Leningrad region has undeniable advantages – location, logistics, sales market, qualified labour force, but there are also things which were created by our team – a comprehensive and balanced support for business of any level – from multi-billion dollar investors to small enterprises,” commented the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.
