According to the results of the ranking prepared by Expert RA, Leningrad region occupied the fifth place in terms of “investment risk” indicator. The region had the same indicator last year.
The research notes, that among all Russian regions, Leningrad region has minimal risks for investors in managerial and financial spheres. Availability of developed infrastructure is one of the components of the investment potential of Leningrad region.
Only Moscow region, Saint Petersburg, Lipetsk region and Belgorod region have better indices than Leningrad region.
The ranking of investment attractiveness of Russian regions is traditionally based on the official information provided by Rosstat (Federal State Statistics Service) and statistics of the federal institutions: Ministry of Finance, Bank of Russia, Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, Ministry of Nature and Ministry of Internal Affairs. Investment attractiveness is assessed in the ranking by two parameters: investment potential and investment risk. The ranking was based on statistics as of 1 January 2020.
