Investment portfolio of Leningrad region received new agreements amounting to more than 1 trillion rubles during St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
In 2019 participation of Leningrad region in SPIEF will be remembered by the following achievements: 46 agreements, absolute record by investment agreements, launch of new enterprises in Leningrad region, expansion of industrial sites.
“We beat all records at this forum – we’ve attracted 1 trillion rubles of investments. There is no other region in the history of St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to sign so much. We’ve completed another task for further development of the regional economy – signed agreements with universities on training of labour resources for future production plants so that young people could receive vocational technical and higher education and work in Leningrad region. Another good news for us was the 9th place among Russian regions in the National Regional Investment Climate Ranking. This is an important evaluation of our work by business and experts,” commented the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.
More than 9,540 new jobs are expected to be created in Leningrad region under these projects.
