A round table of the economic team of the Government of Leningrad Region was organized with the member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in Saint Petersburg (AmCham).
The participants of the meeting included Deputy Chairman of the Government of Leningrad Region – Chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activity Dmitry Yalov, his deputies Egor Mishcheryakov and Julia Kosareva, heads of development institutions – Director of Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region Anastasia Mikhalchenko and CEO of Industry Development Centre of Leningrad Region Vera Shtokaylo. The event was moderated by the Executive Director of AmCham in Saint Petersburg Maria Chernobrovkina.
The agenda of the meeting included discussion of the investment climate of the region, new support measures, problems of certain enterprises and branches on the whole, possible regulatory changes and practical measures required for investors support.
Dmitry Yalov noted that the regular meetings with business give an opportunity to receive feedback and implement changes that correspond with the interests of all parties.
The list of questions from business, which were discussed during the round table, included the possibility of participation of the industrial companies in the national programme “Digital economy of the Russian Federation”, the problem of growth of consumer inflation in Russia, the problem of the entrance of foreign technical and highly qualified specialists to Russia, waste management. Some questions were answered during the meeting, some were included in the meeting minutes and taken for further work.
