The delegation of Leningrad region headed by the Governor Alexander Drozdenko will present advantages and achievements of the region at the Russian Investment Forum which will take place from 14 to 15 February in Sochi.

Several cooperation agreements between the Government of Leningrad region and large companies and regions will be signed on 14 February. Investment contracts will be concluded with such companies as Ultramar, LENPROMTRANSPROJECT, Philip Morris Izhora, etc.

“Traditionally Leningrad region will be one of the most active participants of the Forum in Sochi and we’ll confirm once again that our region is attractive in terms of investments. Preliminary volume of investments under these agreements will exceed 100 billion rubles, but experience of previous years shows that this figure is not final and we’ll reach agreements with some investors within the last days before the Forum,” noted Alexander Drozdenko.

It is also planned to sign an agreement between the Government of Leningrad region and the Association “Cluster of Woodworking Industry” aimed at creation of an industrial cluster. The first enterprise which will enter the cluster is Smurfit Kappa Saint Petersburg, a part of Smurfit Kappa Group – a world leader in development and production of paper-based packaging.

One of the main issues is the Year of Healthy Lifestyle in Leningrad region. The guests of the stand will find out more about the key events of the Year and a regional project “Sport is the norm of life”. Performing the tasks of an interactive test you’ll be able to define your healthy lifestyle index.

Food industry will also be in a focus of attention. This year, for the first time of both participation in the Forum and presentation of investment attractiveness of the region, products of large manufacturers such as Jacobs, Orimi Trade, Galactika will be presented. In Healthy Lifestyle bar its visitors will have an opportunity to try kefir, milk and yoghurt, coffee and tea made in Leningrad region. And a virtual tour to the hi-tech Galactika factory will be also available at the stand. 

The interactive map of the region will provide information about the territory of advanced social and economic development Pikalevo and industrial parks, success stories of companies operating in Leningrad region, the largest investment projects supported by Economic Development Agency of Leningrad Region and projects on creation of “smart cities” in Gatchina and Sosnovy Bor.
