Vladimir Putin noted success of Leningrad region in terms of economic development during a working online meeting with the Governor of Leningrad region Alexander Drozdenko.
In particular, these are indices which exceed average indicators in Russia: gross regional product, industrial production, volume of construction, retail trade, investments in fixed assets, population growth, low rate of unemployment and surplus budget. The President noted that this is the result of work of the Governor and his team.
Alexander Drozdenko informed the President during their videoconference about measures against spread of coronavirus and about social and economic situation in the region.
According to the conversation the President approved Alexander Drozdenko to be a candidate for re-election as the Governor of Leningrad region.
