Leningrad region guarantees support for technology initiatives and innovative education, as the Governor of Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko told during a meeting of the Governors Club which opened the online convent Business without Borders in Northwestern federal district.
“One of strategic development goals of Leningrad region is industrial leadership, that is why our measures of support are directed, first of all, at development of already operating production plants and attraction of new industrial investors. We are already implementing 10 mega projects with the total volume of investments exceeding 2.5 trillion rubles, they will allow creating 18,000 new jobs,” said Alexander Drozdenko.
The head of the region also noted that in order to develop innovations in the region we need provide support for qualified personnel, so 4 technology parks and a governor's lyceum for 350 students are being created. A school-technopark Kudrovo is already implementing a project on creation of an engineering centre for children Autoprom North-West, where pupils under the guidance of an automotive manufacturer, suppliers of automotive components and engineering companies carry out engineering development and create working car models. The online convent Business without Borders takes place from 30 November to 9 December.
