A panel discussion at the Forum of Strategists 2023 was devoted to the discussion of tourism sovereignty. The first deputy chairman of the Committee for Economic Development and Investment Activities of the Leningrad Region, Yegor Mishcheryakov, spoke about the creation of the strategy. This is so far the first and only example in Russia of how the region, in response to increased demand, has developed an investment strategy for the development of hotel infrastructure. Growth points have been identified, and the development of investment lots is now being completed.
Practical examples were also presented. For example, Galina Stepanova, General Director of Usadba Maryino LLC, spoke about her experience in developing a point of attraction in the Leningrad region.
During this session, the heads of Vyborg and Pskov signed a cooperation agreement. On the occasion of the signing of the agreement, Valery Savinov presented his colleague with a friendship scarf depicting the two cities.
